how to use custom fonts in Android

In this blog post, I would like to show how to use Custom Fonts in Android.

Step By Steps:

  1. Search for fonts on Google or go to and select a font to download. (Don’t worry it’s free of cost)
  2. You will get .ttf file, copy paste that in asset folder
  3. Now use this code snippet:
     TextView tv = (TextView) findViewById(;
    Typeface custom_font = Typeface.createFromAsset(getAssets(),
    "AUGUST Regular.ttf");

Download Source Code from here.
